Black Forest Labs just raised USD 300 million in Series B funding.
The round was co-led by Salesforce Ventures and Anjney Midha (AMP). New backers include Temasek, Bain Capital Ventures, Air Street Capital, Visionaries Club, and Canva and Figma Ventures. Existing investors stepped up too, including a16z, NVIDIA, Northzone, Creandum, Earlybird VC, BroadLight Capital, and General Catalyst.
The cash will help speed up work on new models.
The team said they want to build systems that go beyond simple prompts. Ones that mix visual perception, generation, memory, and reasoning.
Black Forest Labs makes frontier AI models for images and visuals. Their FLUX models are used by millions and lead on platforms like Hugging Face. The company runs from Freiburg and San Francisco.
