Full Story

Global banking software firm Zeta has secured a fresh $50 million investment from a strategic backer. The deal values the company at $2 billion.

This marks a sharp jump from its last major funding round in 2021. Back then, Zeta raised $250 million at a pre-money valuation of $1.15 billion. That round was led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2.

Zeta builds core banking and payment software for banks and fintech firms. Its products help institutions launch cards, accounts, loans, and payment services without relying on old systems.

The company says its platform now supports over 25 million customer accounts. More accounts are expected to go live soon through existing client contracts.

Zeta works with large banks and regulated financial firms across markets. Its clients include HDFC Bank, corporate benefits provider Pluxee, and US-based card issuer Sparrow Financial.

The funding comes at a time when banking tech firms are under pressure to show scale and long-term clients. Zeta appears to be betting on deep enterprise contracts rather than fast consumer growth.
