SF Compute raised USD 40 million in a Series A round.
The deal was co-led by DCVC and Wing Venture Capital. Existing investors Electric Capital and Alt Capital also joined in. The financing put the company’s value at USD 300 million.
The funds will go toward expanding the marketplace.
Ali Tamaseb, a partner at DCVC, said the platform lets companies buy compute on short-term deals. It also allows data centers and others to sell extra capacity. This brings more flexibility and better pricing to a market that has been stiff.
SF Compute runs a marketplace for AI computing power. Users can buy GPU capacity flexibly and resell what they do not need. The company is based in San Francisco and was started in 2023.
